Obituary of Gail Hobgood

Mrs. Nancy Gail Lacey Hobgood, age 74, of Jackson, GA, passed away Monday, January 16, 2017 at Wellstar Spalding Regional Hospital. Gail was born on Sunday, December 20, 1942 in Rome, GA to the late Ernest Albert Lacey and the late Nancy Pauline Holcomb Lacey. She was a member of Towaliga Baptist Church. Gail loved to quilt and cook. She is preceded in death by a son, Trent Hobgood. Gail is survived by her husband of 56 years, Jimmie Hobgood; children, Tracie and Jim Stanfield, Tamara Hobgood, Tara and Mark Brantley, Tangi Hobgood; grandchildren, Molly Hobgood, Laurie and Lacie Stanfield; four great-grandchildren; and sister, Eva Ann Peters. It was Gail’s wish to be cremated, and a memorial service will be held at a later date.
