Edith Kadel Stovall, age 97, left this life to be with Jesus on November 27, 2012. She was born November 27, 1915 to the late Clarence Richard Kadel and the late Florence Myrtice Robinson. Edith grew up in East Point, GA and graduated from Russell High School, Class of 1933. She and Lee married in 1937 and made their home in West End for 30 years where they raised their children. They were all active in the West End Baptist Church. They moved to Tucker in 1969 after their children had married. Edith was active for 34 years in Rehoboth Baptist Church. She moved to Jackson Lake to live with her daughter and joined Macedonia Baptist Church. She is preceded in death by her husband of 59 years in 1996, David Lee Stovall, Jr. Mrs. Stovall is survived by her children, David and Clara Stovall, of Abilene, TX, Ronald and Anne Stovall, of Stockbridge, GA, Clifford and Carole Stovall, of Loganville, GA, and Martha Lee, of Jackson, GA, with whom she lived; several grandchildren; sisters-in-law, Alma Kadel, of Homosassa Springs, FL, and Hazel Kadel, of East Point, GA; brother-in-law, Frank Stovall; many nieces, nephews and cousins. Funeral services for Edith Stovall will be held at 11:00 AM Saturday, December 1, 2012 at Macedonia Baptist Church with Rev. Lane Sanders officiating. Interment will follow at 2:00 PM at Greenwood Cemetery in Atlanta. The family will receive friends at the funeral home Friday from 2:00 PM – 4:00 PM and 7:00 – 9:00 PM. In lieu of flowers, donations may be given to the Macedonia Baptist Church Building Fund, 151 Macedonia Church Road, Jackson, GA 30233 in memory of Mrs. Stovall.
