Obituary of Courtney Parker

Mrs. Courtney Lianne Woodward Parker, of Jackson, GA, died Friday, September 2, 2011. She was born May 26, 1987 in Atlanta, GA to Lisa Bailey Murphy and the late Harold Judson Woodward, Jr. She enjoyed baking, arts and crafts, and loved spending time with her family. Courtney is survived by her husband, Wesley Parker, of Jackson; 3 daughters, Julianna, Delaina, and Emma Parker; son, Noah Parker, all of Jackson; mother, Lisa Murphy, of Jackson; 7 sisters and brothers-in-law, Ashley and John Fisher, of Jackson, Sierra Murphy, Anna Murphy, Megan Murphy, Sarah Murphy, and Chasity Murphy, all of Jackson, Julie Woodward, of Atlanta; 7 brothers and sisters-in-law, Jon Paul and Amy Nation, of Griffin, Greg Murphy, Jacob Murphy, Chase Murphy and Jackson Murphy, all of Jackson, Robert Murphy, of McDonough, Troy Woodward, of Thomaston; maternal grandparents, Clyde and Anne Bailey, of Cherry Log, GA; 2 sisters-in-law, Amanda and Jeff Askew, of Mansfield, TX, and Stacey Parker, of Stockbridge; mother and father-in-law, Stanley and Pamela Parker, of Stockbridge; uncle, Joel Bailey, of Morganton, GA; and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her father, Buddy Woodward, and step-father, Steve Murphy. Funeral services for Courtney Parker will be held at 3:00 PM Sunday, September 4, 2011 in the Chapel of Sherrell Funeral Home with Pastor Terrell Hopkins and Rev. Stan Jordan officiating. Interment will be at Jackson City Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 6:00 - 8:00 pm Saturday evening.
