Obituary of Margaret Lanell White

Mrs. Margaret Lanell Baker White, age 76, of Jackson, GA, passed away Sunday, February 4, 2018 at her residence.  Margaret was born on Monday, July 28, 1941 in Bruce, MS to the late Lee Troy Baker and the late Leslie Christine Sipes Baker.  She loved to paint, knit, garden, and spend time with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.  Margaret attended Abundant Life Assembly of God.  She was preceded in death by her husband, James “Jim” Thomas White; son, Steve White; and great-grandson, Harley Wilson.

Margaret is survived by her children, Phillip and Sharon Stewart, David and Deloris Stewart, Vicki Martin; 11 grandchildren; 25 great-grandchildren; 1 great-great-grandchild; sisters, Gail Lester and Sonny, Betty Turner, Jo Cumberlin and Robert; brothers, Harold Baker and Bonnie, Danny Baker and Joni; several nieces and nephews.

A funeral service for Margaret White will be held at 5:00 p.m. on Wednesday, February 7, 2018 at Sherrell Memorial Chapel with ReverendTroy Kirby officiating.  The family will receive friends at the funeral home following the service.  Those who wish may sign the online guest registry at www.sherrell-westburyfuneralhome.com
