I was shocked to learn of John's passing, however, looking back, I have spent the past few days remembering what a true friend John was to me. Having met in 1978 while working together at JCPenney Co. at Southlake Mall, John was one of a few that kept me laughing with his sensational wit and humor. Times flew by, but we were able to stay in touch throughout the years. After relocating to the northeast metro Atlanta area, staying in touch became more difficult, which, looking back, was my loss for sure. John, you were a dear friend and I ask of but one thing . . . scope out some good restaurants up there in Heaven, so we can eat well and catch up on the past.
