Obituary of Tony Wade
Mr. Tony Wade, age 65, of Jackson, GA passed away Sunday, June 24, 2018 at his residence. He was born Thursday, August 21, 1952 to the late Charles Floyd Wade and the late Mary Jean Bailey Wade. Tony was a graduate of Austin Peay University College in Clarksville, Tennessee and Lincoln Memorial College in Lincoln, Tennessee. He retired from the Clayton County School System for 33 years as football coach. Tony loved camping, riding motorcycles, and sports. He was an avid fan of the University of Tennessee football.
Tony is survived by his wife, Malinda Wade of Jackson; children, Mandy Wade of Clarksville, Tennessee; son and daughter-in-law, John and Tara Norris of Monticello; daughter and son-in-law, Brittany and Joel Hicks of Flovilla; grandchildren, Isabella Norris, Dallas Hicks, Scarlett Hicks; sisters and brother-in-law, Angie Taylor of Conyers, Melanie and Curly Crowe of Social Circle, father-in-law and mother-in-law, Joseph and Rosie Turner of Hampton; brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law, Jeremiah and Lea Turner of Hampton, Joe and Mara Turner of Butler; Tammy Miller of Hampton; several nieces and nephews.
The funeral service for Mr. Tony Wade will be held at 11:00 A.M. Wednesday, June 27, 2018 in the Sherrell Memorial Chapel with Reverend James Turner officiating. Interment will follow at 4:00 P.M. in the Rock Creek Baptist Church Cemetery in Toccoa, GA. Friends may visit the family at the funeral home Tuesday evening from 6:00 P.M. until 8:00 P.M.
