Obituary of Christine Horton
Mrs. Christine Horton, 93, of Jackson, died Saturday, October 20, 2018, at Brightmoor Hospice in Griffin. She was born Thursday, January 1, 1925, in Atlanta, daughter of the late Gidean A. Riddle and the late Ruby Watson Riddle. Mrs. Horton was a homemaker and enjoyed gardening. She was a member of St. Mary Mother of God Catholic Church and was active in the prayer ministries. Mrs. Horton never met a stranger. She lived at Autumn Village Assisted Living in Jackson where she was best known for her dancing abilities and beautiful smile. Mrs. Horton was loved by many people and will be greatly missed. She was preceded in death by her husband, James A. Horton.
Mrs. Horton’s survivors include her children, Lee McWilliams (Jim) of Jackson, Michael Horton (Kandece) of Miami, FL, and Sandy Rose of Coral Springs, FL; grandchildren, Andrew McWilliams and Megan Schmidt; great-granddaughter, Ava Buigas; sisters; Jeanette Moore and Gwen Lambright; and several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services for Mrs. Christine Horton will held Wednesday, October 24, 2018 at 10:30 AM at Sherrell Memorial Chapel with Reverend Steve Pattison and Brother Terry West officiating. Interment will be at Hillcrest Cemetery in East Point. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 9:30 until 10:30 before the service.
