Obituary of Stephen Brett Buckner
Stephen Brett Buckner, born on a cold December day in Austell, Georgia. That was a day a legend was born. He was a kind-hearted soul that would put everyone before himself no matter who you were. Stephen left an impact on everyone he met and loved, he was a head strong young man that loved cars and spent all his time building his Acura with his brother, Taylor. He was fearless, he took everything head on and followed it all the way through till the end. The only thing Stephen loved more than his car was his dog Mia, she was his daughter and his best friend, there is nothing he wouldn’t do for her.
Stephen was dedicated and a hard worker and a jack of all trades. He was a huge jokester and had a contagious smile. Stephen would walk into a room and his presence would just light it up and he could always turn a bad situation into a good one. He would give you the shirt off his back and wouldn’t even think twice about doing it again. Stephen loved to be surrounded by friends and family and just having an awesome time.
Stephen was a wonderful young man with a huge heart and even though on December 6, 2018 we will be saying our final goodbyes to Stephen he will forever live in our hearts and he knows how much everyone loved and cared for him. Stephen will never be forgotten, and he is looking down on us now saying I know you guys better keep building and racing, because that’s what he is doing in Heaven. Gone but never forgotten and may he rise and race on!
Stephen is survived by his mother, Jenny Miller; father and step-mother, Stephen Todd Buckner and Dottie; step-fathers, Jesse Whitton, Chris Glaze; sisters, Deztinni Whitton, Maranda Buckner, Lonna Waites; brothers, Ayden Glaze, Liam Glaze, Zackary Waites, Garrett Waites, Joseph Bell; family of the heart, Brian Eells, Austin Eells, Lea Eells Bagley and Matt Bagley, Taylor Norrell, Riley Bagley, Cody Steerman; and several other family members and friends.
