Mr. Matthew Adam Smith, Sr., age 53, of Locust Grove, GA, passed away Tuesday, March 3, 2020, at his residence. He was born on Sunday, January 8, 1967, in Jackson, Georgia. Adam loved watching football, racing, baseball, wrestling, and old movies and tv shows. He loved spending time with his family. Adam attended Abundant Life Church. He is preceded in death by father, Clarence Franklin Smith.
Adam is survived by his wife, Debbie James Smith; children, Victoria and Vernon Bartlett, and A.J. Smith; mother, Rebecca Smith; brother, Chris Smith; sister, Gayle Moore; in-laws, Betty and Victor James, Mike James, Karen Yancy, and Lisa Hosford; several cousins, nieces and nephews.
A funeral service for Mr. Adam Smith will be held at 2:00 P.M. on Friday, March 6, 2020, in the Sherrell Memorial Chapel with Reverend Jeremiah Hosford officiating. Interment will follow in the Flovilla North Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the funeral home Thursday evening from 6:00 P.M. until 8:00 P.M.
