Donald Richard Crankshaw, of Flovilla, GA, died Saturday, April 14, 2012. He was born March 5, 1953 in College Park, GA to the late Charles Hamilton Crankshaw and Doris Pauline Fuller Crankshaw. He enjoyed fishing, hunting, coin collecting, collecting antique guns and swords, baseball cards, and loved spending time with his family. Donald was quarterback and team captain for the Collins High School football team, and was a coach for girls softball for several years in Clayton County and boys baseball for his son, Corey, in Butts County. Donald is survived by his wife, Susan Crankshaw, of Flovilla; 4 daughters and sons-in-law, Amanda and Jason Capshaw, of McDonough, Jennifer and Scott Leasure, of Whitesburg, Kayla and Blaine Parker, of Locust Grove, Crystal Crankshaw and J.W. Barnes, of Flovilla; 3 sons, Richard Crankshaw, of Senoia, David Crankshaw, of Sharpsburg, Corey Crankshaw, of Flovilla; step-son, Chris; 11 grandchildren, Ashley, Aaron, Chloe, Jordon, Danyelle, Haley, Abby, Sydney, Emily and B.J.; sister, Charlene Wimmer, of Douglasville; 2 brothers and sisters-in-law, Stanley and Carol Crankshaw, of Fayetteville, Rev. Ronnie and Maria Crankshaw, of Houston, TX; several nieces and nephews; and 2 dogs, Nippy and Buddy. He was preceded in death by his granddaughter, Ansley Crankshaw; brother and sister-in-law, Charles and Dale Crankshaw; and Terry King, the mother of Richard and David Crankshaw. Funeral services for Don Crankshaw will be held at 2:00 PM Wednesday, April 18, 2012 at Sherrell Memorial Chapel with Pastor Marggie Howell officiating. Interment will be at North Flovilla City Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 5:00 - 8:00 PM Tuesday evening.
