Mrs. Carol Jean Dunlap Sterling Hebert, age 91, of Jackson, Georgia, passed away Friday, July 3, 2020, at Westbury Medical Care Home. She was born on Tuesday, October 30, 1928, in Montgomery, Alabama to the late O.C. Dunlap and the late Jessica Louise Shepherd Dunlap. Carol taught ice-skating and loved the Lord. During her stay at Westbury Medical Care & Rehab, she was crowned the 2019 Ms. Georgia Health Care Association. Carol is preceded in death by her husbands, Robert Lomax Sterling, Sr., and Ivan Hebert; son, Robert Lynn Sterling; daughter, Kathy Abeyta; brothers, Thomas Dunlap and Michael Dunlap; grand-son, Caleb Keppeler; and great-grandson, Justin Herring.
Carol is survived by her son and daughter-in-law, Robert and Cherri Sterling; ten grandchildren, numerous great-grandchildren; sister, Margaret Rayburn; and several nieces and nephews.
A funeral service for Mrs. Carol Hebert will be held Monday, July 6, 2020, at 4:00 P.M. in Sherrell Memorial Chapel with Mr. Rudy Mangham officiating. Friends may visit the family at the funeral home Monday afternoon from 2:00 P.M. to 4:00 P.M. Those who wish may sign the online guest registry at www.sherrell-westburyfuneralhome.com
