Mrs. Martha Eloise Eakin Ammons, age 89, of Jackson, GA, passed away Thursday, December 24, 2020.
Eloise was born Thursday, April 30, 1931 in Climax, Georgia to the late James Earl Eakin and the late Lois Olivia Musgrove Eakin. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Lunie Coleman Ammons. She was a retired school bus driver. She enjoyed sewing, cross stitching, quilting, gardening, and cross word puzzles. Eloise was a member of Sandy Creek Baptist Church in Fayetteville, Georgia.
Eloise is survived by her children and their spouses, Delaine & Charles Bowen, Sheryl & Buddy Peacock, Randy & Jesse Privett, James Alan & Karen Ammons, Denise & Buddy Beck; grandchildren and their spouses; Jeff & Stephanie Tedder, Michelle & Brian Brittian, Jenny Ammons, Karmon & Corry Johnson, Jaime & David Brown, Trey & Mandy Mann, Kasey & Jeremy Jewell, William & Kristin Beck; 14 great-grandchildren; 1 great-great-granddaughter; sister and brother-in-law, Joan & Leon Wilkie; brother and sister-in-law, Carlton & Radine Eakin; several nieces and nephews.
A graveside funeral service for Mrs. Eloise Ammons will be held at 1:00 P.M. on Wednesday, December 30, 2020 at College Park Cemetery with Reverend Phillip Johnson officiating. In lieu of flowers, the family request that donations be made to Alzheimer’s Association (www.alz.org)
