Mr. Harold Kenneth “Ken” Wall, age 84, of Jackson, GA, passed away Friday, January 1, 2021 at Wellstar Spalding Regional Hospital.
Ken was born on Sunday, August 16, 1936 in Johnston County, North Carolina to the late Wilton Wall and the late Hazel Driver Wall. He loved camping, square dancing, and cooking out on the grill. Ken served as a Chief Petty Officer in the United States Navy. He later worked with the Cameron Brown Company. Ken loved his church, acting as a former ordained deacon with Mt. Zion Baptist Church in Jonesboro, and then, with Mrs. Barbara, as devoted members of the First Baptist Church of Jackson. He loved his family but especially Mrs. Barbara.
Ken is survived by wife of 61 years, Barbara Wall; daughters and son-in-law, Lois & Tim Murtha, Lisa Bartley; grandchildren, Heather & Josh Howell, Josh & Ashlie Murtha; great-grandchildren, Emily Howell, Haley Howell, Bradley Murtha, Matthew Murtha; brothers and sisters-in-law, Shelton & Betty Wall, Carmel Wall, Billy & Debbie Wall.
A funeral service for Mr. Ken Wall will be held at 11:00 A.M. on Tuesday, January 5, 2021 at the First Baptist Church of Jackson with Reverend Keith Joseph and Reverend Randall King officiating. Entombment will follow in Forest Hills Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends at the funeral home Monday evening from 6:00 P.M. until 8:00 P.M. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to the First Baptist Church Greater Things Building Fund, 1227 West Third St., Jackson, GA 30233.
