Obituary
Obituary of Robert C Swearingen
Please share a memory of Robert to include in a keepsake book for family and friends.
Mr. Robert C. Swearingen passed away Tuesday, May 25, 2021. Robo, as he was known by his family and friends, was born in Jacksonville, Florida on Tuesday, January 1, 1952 to the late Robert C. and Doris Swearingen.
During his lifetime Robo had many jobs but his real calling and talent was building. His workmanship was superior to all and had to be flawless on everything he did. The homes he built in Butts County are still to this day some of the best workmanship and quality around.
Robo married his high school sweetheart, Mary Zane, lovingly called MZ, 53 years ago and their love and companionship was still as strong now as it was on day one.
When retirement time came, sitting around was not something Robo could do. He started building a few bird houses so he and Mary Zane could attend some local arts and crafts shows. Over time, his hobby turned into a full- time job with travels all over the southeast.
Robo is survived by his loving wife, Mary Zane Swearingen; children, Jud and Renee Swearingen, Lisa and James Austin; grandchildren, Josie (Matthew) Postin, Reece Hood, Will Swearingen, Tyler Hood.
