Mr. Arthur Lee “Lovell” Coe, Sr., age 84, of Covington, Georgia passed away Monday, August 30, 2021, at Piedmont Newton Hospital.
Lovell was born on Saturday, September 19, 1936, in Woodbury, Georgia to the late John Irvin Coe and the late Mary Emma Clay Coe. Along with his parents, he was preceded in death by his son, Mike Coe. Lovell was a member of Stewart Baptist Church and was an ordained pastor, Pastor Coe, and was a minister of God’s word. He worked on and tinkered with cars and enjoyed having coffee with his loved ones.
Lovell is survived by his wife of 63 years, Mildred Coe; children, Darrell Coe, Lyn Coe, Tracey and Donna Coe, Darlene Coe and Johnny Jarrell, Lee and Shanna Coe, Shane and Ashlie Coe, Kelly Coe; thirteen grandchildren; brothers, JP Coe, Cecil Coe; sister, Lilly Mae Coe; several nieces and nephews.
A graveside service for Mr. Lovell Coe will be held at 11:00 A.M. on Friday, September 3, 2021, at Cedar Rock Baptist Church Cemetery in Woodbury, Georgia with Mr. Ralph Wilson officiating. Friends may visit with the family on Thursday, September 2, 2021, at Sherrell-Westbury Funeral Home from 6:00 P.M. until 8:00 P.M.
