Mrs. Roberta Jean Trowbridge Garman, age 65, of Jackson, died Sunday, November 21, 2010 at her residence. Mrs. Garman was born April 25, 1945 in Belmond, IA daughter of the late Wilbur and Leola Barkema Trowbridge. She loved life, enjoyed fishing, going to her grandchildren’s sporting events, and was very proud of the 2007 Little League World Series Championship in which she had 2 grandsons, Nick and Micah. She loved her family very much. Mrs. Garman is survived by her husband, Charles Garman, of Jackson; 2 daughters and sons-in-law, Gina and Mike Wells, of Warner Robins, Wendy and Scotty Collins, of Griffin; 2 sons and daughter-in-law, Dave Martens, of Warner Robins, Russ and Katherine Garman, of McDonough; 12 grandchildren, Matt, Macie, Micah, Tyler, Nick, Drew, Lexie, Allie, Emily, Courtney, Anna, and Abby; step-daughters, Laura Garman and Michelle McKinney; 2 step-sons, Brett Garman and Todd Garman; 6 step-grandchildren, Jacob, Sydney, Kara, Sara, Kalvin, Keaton; 1 step-great-granddaughter, Addison; one brother and sister-in-law, Dennis and Judy Trowbridge, of Blue Springs, MO; and several nieces and nephews. Memorial services for Mrs. Roberta Garman will be held at 11:00 AM Wednesday, November 24, 2010 at Sherrell Memorial Chapel with Rev. Rachael Knoll officiating. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 10:00 until 11:00 AM Wednesday morning. Those who wish may sign the on-line guest register at www.sherrellfh.com.
