Obituary of Robert Winters

Robert “Flash” Gordon Winters of Jackson, GA died Thursday April 26, 2012 at Henry Medical Center. He was born on September 12, 1951 in Griffin, GA to the late Robert and Mary Louise Mitchell Winters. He enjoyed model trains, working on cars, Christmas lights, playing Santa Claus, land scaping, and loved spending time with his family and friends. Robert is survived by 3 daughters and sons-in-law, Virginia and Ronny Powell of Jackson, Bridget and Lucas Tindall of Jenkinsburg, Crystal and Jimmy Winters-Foster of Jackson, 14 grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews. He is preceded in death by his wife of 28 yrs Lynn Winters, and his sister Barbara Pope. Services will be held at 2:00 PM on April 30, 2012 at Sherrell Memorial Chapel with Rev. Clyde Bennett officiating. Interment will be at Jackson City Cemetery. The family will receive visitors at the funeral home on Sunday, April 29, 2012 from 5:00 - 8:00 PM.
