I didn’t get to know him as well as I would’ve liked, but my brother-in-law still left a real mark on me through his love and dedication to my sister and their kids. From the start, he embraced their life together wholeheartedly, and they welcomed a beautiful baby girl, Samara. Then, years later, they had their son, Xavier, and their family felt even more complete.
When they moved back to Georgia, we were grateful to finally have more time together. My husband and I enjoyed being around him, and we were able to visit him in the hospital before he passed. I remember him talking about wanting to get back to church and hoping his son would have a relationship with God.
I know he’d be incredibly proud to see how Xavier is turning out today, carrying forward the values that mattered so much to him. His love and legacy still shine through his family, and I’m grateful my sister had such a devoted partner by her side.
