Daddy, this is by far the hardest thing I have ever had to do. I know you are having the greatest time up there but I miss you more than anything and would do anything to see you again. I hope you know I’m gonna do everything in my power to make you proud and keep your legacy alive. I love you so much. You just rest up cause we got a-lot of corn hole to play when I get there. I got everything and everyone down here okay, so no need to worry. I love you pops. Rest in paradise.

To my Father-In-Law,
I will forever miss your random phone calls and video chats, I can hear you now saying "Hey girl, What are y'all up to?".
That smile of yours was one in a million! It could brighten any room! You were always so positive and happy no matter what was going on in your life. I don't remember ever really seeing you mad or angry. You are a true definition of a REAL man and you did an amazing job raising your boys into the men they are today and your girls into the women and mothers they have become! I know you are so proud of them! Thank you for taking me in as part of your family with no judgement or hesitation. Most importantly Thank you for my greatest blessing in life; Your first born son/My husband! Please know that I will forever stand beside him and walk this journey of life with him and our children, I have him from here Popinlaw! Promise.
You rest easy up there and give heaven some hell until we get there with you!
I love you Pops and miss you like crazy already!

Daddy (Poppy),
Never thought I would have to say “See you soon” to you this early. We are suppose to have more time with you and this isn’t fair . But I wanna let everyone know what type of man my Dad is . My daddy is a caring, loving, warm-hearted man. He always put everyone needs first before his own. He is the funniest and knew a way to make anyone laugh or smile. He has a joke for anything and knows how to turn someone’s day around and make them smile. He is the King of Cornhole in my eyes and always will be,my favorite memory of my Daddy is him playing Cornhole with my daughters and he will always let them win. To be honest these reasons and memories are why my dad is so loved . He is the greatest father, Poppy, son and brother anyone could ever have. My dads grandchildren are his world and all had him wrapped around their fingers. Daddy I will make sure my unborn child knows and loves his/her poppy as if you were physically here. I will make sure to tell everyone and remind everyone of my dad daily. His legacy will forever live through me. I will forever miss seeing your face every morning, miss hugging and telling you goodnight. We love you daddy so much . And we miss you and will forever miss you . We will see you soon Daddy , watch over us . Until we meet again
Love, Bayli

I have always looked up to my "Unc", thats what i called him. I always wanted to be around or follow him, and I was always welcome even as an annoying kid. I was around him so much that I even started talking like him, and the country slang, I got from him. He had plenty of names for me such as toad or kodeman and kodemonster. So many memories that are burned into my head but I really remember the crap talk as I got older or wrestling matches when I was a kid, and excessive tickling/gouging..lol..I know he believed if a ghost was around he could definetly "shoot the s**t out of it".....that was one of his sayings for something scary, or anything around that topic. Gonna miss you unc more than you know. You was always on my mind in life, and now as well. Love you, and hope you are reading these up there so you will know how much you was loved. Shoooooot, until I see you again!

I’d be here forever listing memories with Shane.
He loved his daddy, and especially his mother,
He let his sister be the boss, he was the best big brother.
He had daddy’s girls and boys so big and strong,
In their eyes Shane did no wrong.
He loved his kids and held them so near,
He loved catching fish and shooting deer,
A gentle giant with a heart made of gold,
I never thought, he wouldn’t grow old.
The Lord took him home, I’m glad that’s where he went.
I’ll just miss his calls, checking on Clint.
We were just cousins but he was my best friend.
When I get to Heaven, I’ll see him again.
While we’re still here, Shane we’ll surely miss.
I’ll never forget aunt Sue, giving Shane one last kiss.

I remember hanging around Shane as teenagers and always thought about how cool he was and how I wish I could be cool like him. From the girls he talked to, the trucks he drove, the food he ate and his laid back attitude. I loved hanging out with Shane because it made me feel cool haha.
We would go to Hardees and get naked dogs (hot dogs with nothing on them) he would scarf those those things down so quickly. On Christmas or Thanksgiving we would go to PeeWees to get something to eat or drink because we didn't want to eat the food that was being served.
He had this old jacked up Dodge truck that he thought was a mud bogging truck. We would go down muddy roads to get it dirty and drive through town with the windows down so everyone would look at us. However, the grey truck with the 4 barrel would get up and go, but it drank so much gas Shane never wanted to punch it lol.
So many memories with him. I really hate that as we grew older we also grew apart as many adults do when you start having families of your own and boy did Shane know how to grow a family LOL.
For anyone reading this do whatever you can to let your family and friends know you love them before it's too late. I pray that one day I get to see Shane again and wrap my arms around him so I can tell him how much I missed him.

Shane, as I sit here strolling through memory lane. It's the little things I remember. The quite moments, alot of times we didn’t have to say anything. The Smiles, your smile will never be forgotten. The laughter, we definitely had alot of good ones. You scaring me with rubber snakes. It will be the memories of all the little things that will push away the pain, and bring the Smiles back again. My brother you will always be kept alive in my heart. Thank you for loving me and giving your all. I never knew this day would come so soon.
Your legacy lives on through all your family, and friends. I will love you forever and always my brother you will be!!!!❤❤❤

My Uncle Shane.... One of the nicest, funniest and calmest people I know, with the best smile.. I loved watching you play cornhole, you would throw perfectly everytime and mess up once and act like you were the worst player, when all of mine were like that. But you never judge me for how bad I was at cornhole!!
I loved seeing you at random places and talking to you...
I remember one time we were at the gas station and you came up behide me and poked me in the back and scared me, you started laughing and asked what we were doing and when we asked what you were doing, you said you were "getting Boiled Peanuts, cause the ones I got somewhere else were nasty! They got the good ones here"...
I got closer with you in 2022, I loved when you starter coming over more... I'll miss your little phrases like "shooooot" it was always so funny to me...
I always tried to prove how strong I was in front of you because you were such a gentle giant, I wanted to prove I could open a brand new pickle jar! You asked if I needed help and I was like no I got this and when I opened it, you did a little proud nod and laughed.. You were always there if I needed help with anything... I wish I had more pictures with you.. I wish I would've hugged you more.. I wish I would've talked to you more.. I wish I would've known Christmas was the last time I would have seen you, I would have hugged you and asked if you were okay and tell you to go to the doctor... There are many things that I wish, but I have to look past it and just think of the memories I do have with you... Thank you for being one of the best uncles ever!! I looked up to you so much and I still do, and always will.. I could say so much more, but I gotta leave room for other people! I love you Uncle Shane, forever and always. And I miss you so so much.. until we meet again in Heaven. love, Keralyn ♡

Shane, I never considered you my brother in-law, you were my Brother. We hunted together, fished together, and worked together. We made a lot of great memories together. We made a lot of hunting and fishing stories to be told by others for years to come. You were always there if I needed anything, all I had to do was ask. You were a great friend to so many. I'm going to miss all your smack talk and your big contagious smile. You left this world way too soon and we're hurting and heart broken. Until we meet again, I love you my brother.

Shane was a quiet constant. He didn’t have a ton to say but he was always joyful and present. He’s the best cornhole player I’ve ever met and my heart hurts for all my cousins who lost their dad. I pray peace over Memaw and Pawpaw and our whole family. Grief is love with nowhere to go and I know there is a ton of love for Uncle Shane!

Shane would call and say he was checking on me and his daddy to see how we were doing and to tell us he loved us. I am just so glad I got to hug him, give him a kiss, and share I love you with him one last time. Thank you Lord for the 54 years you gave us with him. Rest in Peace my sweet son.

Shane, you was the best brother that you didn’t have to be. From the time I was brought into this family, I knew the three of us were meant to stay together for the rest of our life. I love you from the bottom of my heart and you don’t know how much of a inspiration you was to me and my family. I promise to see you again one day, then we can spend eternity together

Q: What will you miss most about Michael?
A: I have so many memories to list of Shane. This here is his favorite time of the year. Shane would call or text every morning and evening during the weekends if he wasn’t with me to ask if I have seen any deer or if I had any luck. If I had luck he would want me to send lots of pictures to him and he would always congratulate me. We would sit on the phone sometimes for hours trying to decide if he was going to go with me or not and a lot of times he would cancel on me because he said I walk too far for him.lol I sure am going to miss those phone calls and text heck I already do miss them. Shane was one of my best friends that I’m definitely going to miss
