Q: How did you meet Elaine?
A: I met Elaine and Jerry through their grandson Nick Jackson back in the 90s. I instantly fell in love with this beautiful couple. They adored each other. They were so sweet and friendly to everyone who came to their house and they did not meet a stranger, everyone was always welcome. They use to have big get togethers at the barn and lots and lots of food. They were a very big , loving , precious family that I’ll always hold dear to my heart. They are my sons great grandparents that passed away. Cameron Ray Jackson. And they’ll forever hold a special place in my heart. My mother also knew Elaine and her family my moms granddad was best friends with Elaine’s dad Johnny D. they worked at Grant Park Zoo together for a long time. So it’s kind of amazing how my family intertwined with theirs long before Nick and I ever knew each other. I’ll forever miss Mrs. Elaine’s smile she had the most beautiful smile. I’m thankful she’s with her loving husband now. They can now walk hand in hand Down the streets of Gold. My thoughts and prayers are with the entire family. God bless you all in the days ahead and may you find solitude and comfort in knowing you’ll see her again one sweet day. Mrs. Elaine please give Cameron a big hug from his mommy and tell him I miss him more than he’ll ever know.
