Obituary of Richard Charles Neely
Mr. Richard Charles Neely, age 83, of Jackson, Georgia, passed away on Friday, August 18, 2023, at Sacred Journey Hospice in Newnan.
Richard was born on Monday, April 15, 1940, in Riverdale, Georgia, to the late Richard Emmett Neely and the late Lois Camp Neely. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his two sisters, Bessie Reeves and Freida Hammond. Richard was an avid hunter. He loved the great outdoors.
Richard is survived by his loving wife of 28 years, Kathy Faye Neely; son, Shawn Neely; stepchildren and spouses, Danny White, David White (Amy Kahler), Kelly Martin (David), Andrea Marsh; grandchild, Morgan Graves; step-grandchildren, Annalysa Vaughn, Andrew White (Haylee Scott), Samantha Martin, Austin White, Sarah Martin, and Jordan White; several brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law; caretaker, Annie Davis; special friends, Charles Washington and John Strickland; as well as several nieces and one nephew.
Funeral Services for Mr. Richard Neely will be held on Tuesday, August 22, 2023, at 2:00 P.M. in Sherrell Memorial Chapel with Pastor Rick Whitlock officiating. Friends may visit with the family on Tuesday from 12:00 P.M. until the service hour at the funeral home.
