Obituary of Joseph Roland Tatham
Mr. Joseph Roland “Joe” Tatham, age 80, of Jackson, Georgia, passed away Saturday, February 3, 2024.
Joe was born Sunday, September 12, 1943, in Andrews, North Carolina to the late Roland and Alberta Tatham. Along with his parents, he was preceded in death by his son, Baby Tatham; brother, Jim Tatham; and sisters, Jeanette West and Janice Waldroup. He was a member of Rock Springs Church. Joe was a North Carolina Tarheel fan. He enjoyed watching sports, fishing, and loved going to the mountains. But the one thing he loved the most was spending time with his grandchildren.
Joe is survived by his wife of 58 years, Judy Tatham; children, Lisa and Clint Staffon, Joe and Kristin Tatham, Tiffany and Shaun Boatwright; grandchildren, Brittany Shaddix, Dylan Staffon, Makinzie Mickle, Zach Tatham, Tyler Tatham, Tucker Tatham, Lexi Satkowiak, Lyndi Satkowiak, Aubrey Boatwright, Blake Boatwright; great-grandchild, Presley Tatham; brothers and siter-in-laws, Jack and Joyce Tatham, Jerry and Shirley Tatham; sisters, Judy Dukes and Jane Waters; several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services for Mr. Joe Tatham will be held at 2:00 P.M. on Wednesday, February 7, 2024, at the Sherrell Memorial Chapel with Pastor David Maddox officiating. Interment will follow at Jackson City Cemetery. Friends may visit with the family on Tuesday, February 6, 2024, from 6:00 P.M. until 8:00 P.M. at the funeral home.
