Obituary of Leon Turner Smith
Mr. Leon Turner Smith, age 63, of Jackson, Georgia, passed away Saturday, February 10, 2024.
Leon was born Thursday, March 17, 1960, in Griffin, Georgia to the late Robert Earnest Smith and the late Myra Turner Smith. Along with his parents, he was preceded in death by his brother, Albert Smith. He was a member of Towaliga Baptist Church. Leon finally fulfilled his wishes of traveling in the last few years. He loved his work, and especially loved spending time with his grandchildren.
Leon is survived by his significate other, Wendy Brockman; children and spouses, Jake and Abby Smith, Jeffrey and Hayley Smith, Jeremy Smith and Whitney Boyer, Eric Brockman; siblings, Roscoe and Pam Smith, Fay and Smitty Smith, Jenny Thomas, Elaine Kendrick, Ray and Phyllis Smith, Sammy and Patty Smith, Renee and Steve Phillips, Rita and Wesley Haley, Lamar and Debi Smith; grandchildren, Turner, Reese, and Ophelia; several nieces, nephews and cousins.
Funeral services for Mr. Leon Smith will be held at 1:00 P.M. on Wednesday, February 14, 2024, at Towaliga Baptist Church with Pastor Gary Jakes officiating. Interment will follow at Towaliga Baptist Church Cemetery. Friends may visit with the family on Wednesday, February 14, 2024, from 11:00 A.M. until 1:00 P.M. at Towaliga Baptist Church.
