Obituary of Mary Madeline Treadwell
Mrs. Mary Madeline Woodruff Treadwell, age 83, of Jackson, Georgia, passed away Monday, July 1, 2024.
Mary was born on Friday, November 22, 1940, in Atlanta, Georgia to the late Henry Albert Woodruff and the late Alice Bryant Woodruff. Along with her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, George Smith Treadwell; sisters, Mildred Johnson, Margaret Treadwell; brother, Eddie Woodruff. Mary was a member of Mt Vernon Baptist Church and loved gospel music and going to church. She also enjoyed crafting and doing yard work.
Mary is survived by her son and daughter-in-law, Dwayne and Connie Treadwell; grandchildren, Chris Williams, Kasey Wynn; 3 great-grandchildren; 1 great-great-granddaughter; sister, Ann Cochran; brothers and sister-in-law, Larry Woodruff, John and Judy Woodruff; special nephews, Paul Treadwell, David Woodruff; several nieces, nephews, and cousins.
A funeral service for Mrs. Mary Treadwell will be held at 11:00 A.M. on Wednesday, July 3, 2024, at the Sherrell Memorial Chapel with Dr. S. Ed Hoard officiating. Friends may visit the family on Tuesday, July 2, 2024, from 6:00 P.M. until 8:00 P.M. at the funeral home.
