Obituary of Alden Charles Sewell
Mr. Alden Charles Sewell, age 83, of Jackson, Georgia, passed away Monday, September 9, 2024.
Alden was born Tuesday, April 22, 1941, in Woodstock, New Brunswick, Canada to the late Harold Osmond Sewell and the late Mabel Kennedy Stone Sewell. Along with his parents, he was preceded in death by his former wife, Kathy Sewell; and dog, Sophie. Alden served in the Canadian Army and the United States Army. He later worked as an Aircraft Maintenance Inspector for Delta Airlines and was a member of Rock Springs Church. Alden loved animals and tinkering with things and especially liked Ham radios. He enjoyed feeding birds, airplanes and airplane shows, and was very big on recycling, he even worked at the recycling center.
Alden is survived by his wife, Joyce Sewell; stepdaughters, Dawn and Joseph Kilpatrick, Lee Ann Goforth and Scott Hoff; stepson, Vance and April Goforth; grandchildren, Nikki and Jerry Martin, Lorren and Ethan Hall, Nash Lanclos, Seth Hoff, Adyen Hoff, Brittani Goforth, Robert Goforth; great-grandchildren, Halsey, Reed, Natalie, Robert; brother, Allen Sewell.
A graveside service for Mr. Alden Sewell will be held at 2:00 P.M. on Monday, September 16, 2024, at Rock Springs Church Cemetery with Dr. Benny Tate officiating. Visitation will be held on Thursday, September 12, 2024, from 6:00 P.M. until 8:00 P.M. at the funeral home. Friends and family can gather at the Sewell home after the graveside service.
