Tony Lee Williamson, age 59, of Jackson, GA, passed away Wednesday, December 19, 2012 at his residence. He was born January 14, 1953 in Macon, GA to the late Melford Williamson, Sr. and the late Dessie Mae Cooper Williamson McCoy. Tony was a member of Plumber and Pipe Fitters Local Union 72 for 40 years and a certified Bar B Que and wild game cook-off judge. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, cooking out, and loved spending time with his family, especially his grandkids. He is preceded in death by his step-father, Robert McCoy; daughter, Jennifer Williamson; step-daughter, Nicole Dorough. Tony is survived by his wife, Angie Williamson, of Jackson; son, Joshua Williamson, of Macon; daughter and son-in-law, Jessica and John Carter, of Macon; 2 stepsons and daughters-in-law, Walter and Lauren Dorough, of Monticello, Michael and Dustie Dorough, of Jackson; sister and brother-in-law, Sheila and Randy Mullis of Lizella, GA; 2 brothers and sisters-in-law, Melford and Linda Williamson, of Knoxville, GA, Wayne and Doris Williamson, of Panama City, FL; grandchildren, Rachael, Meghan, Karis, Aubrey, Ayden, Jackson, Brandy and Katie; several nieces and nephews. Funeral services for Tony Williamson will be held at 2:00 PM Saturday, December 22, 2012 at Sherrell Memorial Chapel with Pastor Bill Hamby officiating. Interment will be at Jackson City Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 6:00-9:00 PM Friday evening. Those who wish may sign the online guest registry at www.sherrell-westburyfh.com.
