Obituary of Frances Nelson

Mary Frances Stanford Nelson, age 79, of Jackson, GA, passed away Wednesday, October 8, 2014. She was born on Monday, October 7, 1935 in Gadsden, AL to the late Edwin Ray Stanford and the late Mary Opal Boozer Stanford. Frances was a member of Rock Springs Church. She is preceded in death by a sister, Betty Ellis. Frances is survived by her husband of 58 years, Glen Nelson; daughters and sons-in-law, Gwen and Bennie Gibson, Kim Nelson, Pat and David Jones, Paige Holmes; grandchildren, Carl Gibson, Ben Gibson, Josiah Jones, Paul Jones, Sarah Jones, Stephen Jones, Rachel Holmes, Hunter Holmes, Layton Holmes, Aubrey Holmes; great-grandchildren, Noah Gibson, Adam Gibson; sister and brother-in-law, Joyce and James Jolley; brother and sister-in-law, Jimmy and Twila Stanford; several nieces and nephews. Funeral services for Frances Nelson will be held at 2:00 P.M. Saturday, October 11, 2014 at Rock Springs Church with Dr. Benny Tate officiating. Interment will follow at Rock Springs Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the funeral home Friday evening from 6:00 until 8:00 P.M. She will lie in state for one hour prior to the service.
