Jacqueline “Jackie” Eerlings Gregg Altizer, of Jackson, GA, died Monday, May 7, 2012. She was born January 10, 1921 in Vertrieu, France to the late Henry and Adrienne Guiod Eerlings. Jackie is survived by 4 daughters and sons-in-law, Amalie A. Smith, of Anna. TX, Diana and James Addis, Jr., of College Park, Susan and Ellis Young, of Jackson, Rosalie and Robert Crawford, of Monroe; son and daughter-in-law, John and Kris Gregg, of Norcross; 10 grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren; 2 step-grandchildren; 6 step-great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, Paul H. Altizer, and the father of her children, John Gregg. She served as a Corporal in the US Women’s Army Corp “WAC” during WWII, was of the Catholic faith, and retired from Owens-Illinois Glass Company. Following retirement, she was an active volunteer for Traveler’s Aid, AARP, and Pleasant Hawaii, and long-time resident of Autumn Village I, in Jackson. A graveside memorial service will be held at College Park Cemetery Saturday, May 26, 2012 at 3:00 PM. In lieu of flowers, the family request contributions be made to the Wounded Warrior Project, P.O.
