Obituary of Katherine Woodruff

Mrs. Deane Katherine Dykes Woodruff, age 68, of Flovilla, GA, passed away Wednesday, March 11, 2015 at her residence. She was born on Monday, December 30, 1946 in Whitesburg, GA to the late Jimmie Fountain Dykes and the late Jewel Avis Spears Dykes. Katherine was a member of Victory Tabernacle in Flovilla and was retired from American Woodmark. She was preceded in death by a son, Larry Woodruff. Katherine is survived by her husband of 44 years, Larry Woodruff; children, Jimmy and Kisha Vaughn, Robin James and Lenora Woodruff, Grace and Kenneth Cross; grandchildren, Quinn, Caitlin, Ali, Ashley, Elizabeth, Jacqueline, Shareka, Ron, Simeon, Jeriemiah, Jimmy Lee, Amber, Ashley; great-grandchildren, Brantley, Gabriel, Gabriella; brothers, Jimmy Dykes, Sam Dykes; sisters, Joan Hensley, Nancy King; several nieces and nephews. Funeral services for Katherine Woodruff will be held at 11:00 A.M. on Friday, March 13, 2015 at Sherrell Memorial Chapel with Reverend Danny Clark and Ronnie Morris officiating. Interment will follow at Sandy Creek Cemetery with Mr. Rudy L. Mangham officiating. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 6:00 P.M. until 8:00 P.M. Thursday evening.
