Obituary of Forace Gravitt

Mr. Forace Gravitt, age 84, of Flovilla, GA, passed away Friday, June 26, 2015 at Piedmont Henry Hospital. Mr. Gravitt was born on Thursday, July 31, 1930 in Oakman, Georgia to the late Henry Lee Gravitt and the late Sylvia Barnes Gravitt. He was a Veteran of the United States Army, having served during the Korean War. Following his service to our country, Forace worked at the Federal Reserve Bank. Later he owned Forace Carpets and Melody Park Auction. Forace loved music, especially Gospel music and enjoyed playing the piano. He was a member of Victory Tabernacle and was the pianist for the Victory Singers. Mr. Gravitt is survived by his wife of 50 years, Ruth Gravitt; daughters, Jacquelyn Bolen of Atlanta and Vonita Anne Gravitt of Huntsville, Alabama. Funeral services for Mr. Forace Gravitt will be conducted on Tuesday, June 30, 2014 at 11:00 A.M. in the Sherrell Memorial Chapel with Reverend Darrell Corbin and Reverend Danny Clark officiating. Interment will follow in Flovilla South Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Monday evening from 6:00 P.M. until 8:00 P.M.
