Cary Alan Hurst, age 50, of Jackson, GA, passed away Thursday, January 21, 2016 at Sylvan Grove Hospital. He was born on Friday, January 29, 1965 in Atlanta, GA to Gail O’Neal Hurst and the late Jimmie Earl Hurst. Cary was an electrician for Georgia Power Company. He was of the Baptist faith. Cary loved hunting, fishing, cooking, and spending time with his family. He loved doing “a whole lot of nothing”. Cary is survived by his wife of 22 years, Michelle Farrigan Hurst; sons, Jeremiah Cole Hurst, Samuel Tryon Hurst; his mother, Gail Hurst; brothers and sister-in-law, Jeff and Tami Hurst, Steve Hurst and Tracey Walker; nephews, Dillon Hurst, Tyler Hammond, Garrett Hurst; nieces, Harley Kate Hurst, Hannah Hurst Matson, Kaylee Smith, Zoë Farrigan, Eva Farrigan; mother-in-law, Sarah Nellenback; brother and sister-in-law, Bob and Jen Farrigan; special cousin, Kelvin Hamlin. Funeral services for Cary Hurst will be held at 2:00 p.m. Sunday, January 24, 2016 at Sherrell Memorial Chapel with Mr. Jeff Hurst and Pastor Keith Joseph officiating. Interment will follow in the Worthville Baptist Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. Saturday evening.
