Mr. James Howard “Jimbo” Gibson, age 58, of Jackson, Georgia, passed away Friday, January 22, 2016.
Jimbo was born on Sunday, April 14, 1957 in Monroe, Georgia to the late James Samuel Gibson and the late Rachel June Moss Gibson Thompson. Jimbo was a proud Veteran of the United States Navy, with over 22 years of service. He was of the Baptist faith.
Mr. Gibson is survived by son, Jeremy Eugene Gibson; sisters, Carol Burge and Kelly Thompson; several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services for Jimbo Gibson will be held at 11:00 A.M. on Wednesday, January 27, 2016 in the Sherrell Memorial Chapel with Reverend Billy Roberts officiating. Interment will be at 2:30 P.M. in the Georgia Veterans Memorial Cemetery in Milledgeville. Friends may visit the family on Tuesday evening from 6:00 P.M. until 8:00 P.M. at the funeral home.
