Julian Marsh will be missed by myself and the other members of the Class of 1962 of Mary Persons HS. We spent nearly twelve years of our lives together from beginning in 1st grade thru 12. All formed a tie to each other with some closer than others. Julian is spoken with respect, friendship, and the love like that of brotherhood. He will be missed. To Julian's family at this time, I am so sorry for your loss and may God give you strength and grace at the time. Elaine Castleberry Newsom

Julian was a loving husband, father and friend. We remember him as a great friend, always with a sparkle in his eye and a bit of humor on the tip of his tongue. Cathy, you and Julian were the perfect match, peas in a pod full of life and optimism. Your children are reflectinons of both of you -- beautiful people. We will always remember Julian as the proud patriarch of his wonderful family. Love, Jerry and Gail McLaurin

To Cathy and all the family of my dear friend and classmate Julian. My sincere thoughts and prayers and with all of you. I lost my beloved husband of 48 years on Jan. 5, 2012 so I relate so well what you are going thru. I know Julian has had a very difficult time in recent years and you can be comforted in knowing that he is with his Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ and suffers no more. A good and faithful servant was he. Many fond memories will remain with me as I reflect on all the good times we shared, especially our senior year, at Mary Persons. He and Vernon kept us laughing all the time in the school library when we were suspose to be studying.

Dear Cathy, Just heard that Julian has gone to be with Jesus! Last week I was thinking about him and his fight of faith! We know with the world like it is, it will not be too long before Jesus returns for His Glorious Church! May His memory, and the Peace of God be yours and all your precious family! Will not be able to make his "home going celebration", but our prayers are with you! Much Love, Tess and Jodie Galloway

We first met Julian when Millard and Julian were on "Brown's Clowns" softball team in 1971. Cathy and I sat on the sidelines at Pepperton Field and watched the games. I held Baby Tara, and three-year-old Allison had a black eye from a fall on her trampoline. We became close friends that summer. Later, we enjoyed watching our children participate in 4-H events together. Julian and Millard became weekly golf buddies. Julian lived a great life devoted to his Lord and family. I feel that God is saying "Well done, thy good and faithful servant." Our love, prayers, and deepest sympathy, Millard, Mary Frances, Paul, John, Liz, and Anna

Julian was an inspiration to me. We worked hard together. He taught me a great deal about being fair and honest. He will always stand out in my mind as being one of the best elevator men. He would stand up for what he believed and not back down to some of the toughest people we knew. He was a blessing to me early in my career. He unselfeshly taught me things about my job that have paid off for me for a long time. Thank you Marsh family for sharing your loved one with us. We are forever gratefull. All my love to the family, some I've had the pleasure of knowing and others I look forward to meeting. 1 Thes. 4: 13-18 is a promise I ask each of you that knew Julian to read. Remember he loved you like Jesus. With a timeless love. Love yall longtime Eddie Lewis p.s. Alison and Tara this is your promise. Don't ever forget it.
