I hadn't seen Melinda in over 20 years, but her, Aunt Nancy, and Uncle Ducky lived next door to our MeMaw, where I stayed for most summers growing up. She was always smiling, laughing and was always such a joy to be around. Even as a child, I knew she had a bright and beautiful spirit. My condolences to the family and sorry I'm so late.

Dear mama, I know you're here with me when I wake up and when I lay my head to rest each night. You've always been my number one fan. You've stuck by me when things got tough, and you have never left my side. You passed away right in my arms and that's not just something ill ever forget. I'll never forget the way you smiled, laughed, or the way you put your make up on and how you always wanted me to do your hair. Your face constantly pops in my head and the memories follow it. I'll never get over this heartache. I'll carry on your soul with me forever. I promise you their will be flowers on your grave every week from me no matter how I have to get them there they will be there. You Are and will always be still my heart and soul. I pick my phone up and want to dial your number but there's no answer. I want to read our texts but my heart breaks just thinking about doing it. I just want you to know I'll take great care of Kayden, and you will always be my number one, nobody can replace you. You're the love of my life and it'll never be the same without you.
