Mr. Pierce Jackson “Jack” McCart, age 75, of Jackson, Georgia, passed away Sunday, August 28, 2016 at Westbury Medical Care Home.
Jack was born on Sunday, January 5, 1941 in Covington, Georgia. He was preceded in death by his father, Bruce McCart, Sr.; mother, Vera Moss McCart; grandson, Coty Smith; son-in-law, Stephen Smith; 4 brothers; and 3 sisters. Jack retired from Snapper. He enjoyed camping, fishing, going to the mountains, and yard sales. Jack was of the Baptist faith.
Jack is survived by his wife of 44 years, Tiny McCart; children, Darlene Mitchell, Robert Lumsden, Renee Smith, Angie and Robert Ferree; grandchildren, Crystal Cassidy, Ross Mitchell, Jordan Mitchell, Jake Ferree, and Ashley Ferree; great-grandchildren, Hunter, Alex, Chloe, Brayden and A.J.; sister, Dorothy Tribble of Palmer, TN; several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services for Jack McCart will be conducted on Wednesday, August 31, 2016 at 11:00 A.M. in the Sherrell Memorial Chapel with Pastor Rick Moncrief officiating. Interment will follow in the Stodghill Family Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Tuesday evening from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. Those who wish may sign the online guest registry at
