Reverend Anna Louella Connor, age 86, of Locust Grove, passed away Tuesday, August 30, 2016 at Piedmont Henry Hospital. Reverend Connor was born on Thursday, March 20, 1930 in Ewing, Illinois to the late James Herbert Prowell and the late Althea Sypher Prowell. She was a former mayor of Flovilla, Ambassador of Noah’s Ark, an evangelist and missionary. Reverend Connor and her husband started 13 churches. She was preceded in death by her husband, Reverend Leonard Harold Connor, and six siblings.
Reverend Louella Connor is survived by her children, Art Dwayne (Lou Ann) Connor, Durinda Len McKay, Jama Marie Hedgecoth, James Louis (Jael) Connor; 18 grandchildren; 19 great-grandchildren; sisters, Hortense Doerr and Jeanette Mann.
Funeral services for Reverend Louella Connor will be conducted Saturday, September 3, 2016 at 11:00 a.m. at Stockbridge Assembly of God, 3910 North Henry Blvd., Stockbridge, GA 30281. Reverend Steven Hedgecoth will officiate. Interment will be at Noah’s Ark Cemetery. A reception will follow at Noah’s Ark. The family will receive friends at the church from 2:00 p.m. until 5:00 p.m. and 6:00 until 8:00 p.m. Friday evening. Those who wish may sign the online guest registry at www.sherrell-westburyfh.com
