Obituary of Mike Waites

Mr. Michael Ray “Cricket” Waites, age 61, of Jackson, GA, passed away Sunday, February 19, 2017 at his residence. He was born on Sunday, February 20, 1955 in Griffin, GA to Blanche Ellen Colwell Waites and the late Raymond Waites. Mike was a member of Macedonia Baptist Church. Mike is survived by his son, Dusty Kirby; mother, Blanche Waites; sister, Diane Rice; brother, Wayne Waites, grandchildren, Dustin Kirby, Ryan Kirby, and Addisyn Kirby; aunts, Sylvia Lewis, Danielle Lindsey; several nieces and nephews. Graveside funeral services for Mike Waites will be held at 11:00 a.m. Wednesday, February 22, 2017 at Stark United Methodist Church Cemetery with Dr. Lane Sanders officiating. The family will receive friends at Stark United Methodist Church following the service Wednesday afternoon.
