Mr. John Daniel Eaton Jr., age 60, of Jackson, GA, passed away Saturday, March 4, 2017. He was born on Monday, May 14, 1956 in Ramsey, New Jersey to the late John Daniel Eaton Sr. and the late Mary Ann Comtois Eaton. When Johnny was born, he wasn’t expected to live past the age of six. Johnny attended the Butts County Developmental Disabilities Center in Jackson for a very long time. He loved camping, dancing, music, and TV. Johnny also loved to sing and play with his Pomeranians, Ella and Champ. He aspired to be a men’s hairstylist. Johnny was a member of Cedar Rock Church. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his niece, Joni Washington.
Johnny is survived by his step-mom, Lorell Eaton; sisters and their spouses, Jackie Eaton Marler, Patty and Lanier Moss; brothers and their spouses, Dennis and Robin Eaton, Danny and Denise Washington, Charles and Nancy Washington, Bruce and Cathy Washington; aunt, Joan Mihok; nephews, Daniel Eaton, Andrew Eaton, Jay Dorminy, Phil Washington, Joseph Moss, Christopher Washington, Chris Williams, Brad Hamby, Chad Bennett, Creighton Rollins, Mark Dickens, Tony Gresham; nieces Amanda Jeffers, Amanda Bennett, Kimberly Hamby, Katie Washington, Annie Washington, Crystal Moss, Kristy Williams, Jennifer Rollins, Audrey Dickens, Frances Gresham, Christin Eaton, Allie Eaton; great-nephews, Canyon Williams, Camden Moss, Isaac Washington, Ethan Washington, Charlie Washington, Ray Duffey, Roger Stewart, Gunner Washington, Hayden Bennett, Eli Dickens, Brooks Eaton, Wyatt Eaton; great-nieces, Scarlett Hamby, Autumn Williams, Brooklyn Williams, Gracie Bennett, Charlotte Bennett, Ariyah Stewart, Aubrie Meeler, Arihanna Stewart, Alycya Coleman, Caitlynn Rollins, Conleigh Rollins, Emma Eaton, Paisley Eaton, and Maddie Eaton.
A funeral service for Mr. Johnny Eaton will be conducted at 2:00 p.m. on Thursday, March 9, 2017 at Sherrell Memorial Chapel with Pastor Greg Johns and Mr. Rudy Mangham officiating. A private family interment will follow in Fairview Memorial Gardens in Stockbridge, GA. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 12:30 p.m. until 2:00 p.m. Thursday afternoon. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Cedar Rock Church, 1479 Highway 36 East, Jackson, GA 30233 in memory of Johnny.
