I am so very sorry. I grew up with Idus. He lived right across the street from me and was always like a brother to us all! I have my favorite story about him, all us kids played together every day. I was about 3 and he was around 5 when we first met. Friends forever! His Mother Grace, would go on the porch and yell, and yell, and yell.....Iii ddd ussss!! .Over and over again. He would just keep on playing letting tat poor woman yell! But then Mr Hubbard would come out on the porch and give ONE while and Isis would take off like a bullet! Every time!!! Another one was when Isis and Yvonne got married the moved into the house right next door to his Mom and Dad. Mr Hubbard wanted them to have a baby so bad, he would go to there house while the worked a take Yvonne birth control!. We had many years of fun times and hard times. Those days were so special and sweet! Thank you for letting me share. He was a great long time friend . Rest easy my brother

He was a Daddy, Pops, Paw Paw George, Idus or George depending on where you knew him from or which part of the family! He was a Veteran, a Hard worker and a skilled Electrician, a Comedian, and a musician when he wanted! Life has had its ups and downs but he always had stories, of school or of him and his cousins growing up, of his time he served in the Navy and his many, many stories of jobs he worked on in and around Atlanta and friends he had there! I remember visiting IBEW 613 many times when I was young and how proud he was of his job and his brothers and sisters in the Union with him, He raised me to believe in working for what you have or what you want and to believe in yourself! He would always say if I can’t buy it for you, I can probably build it, he was very good at looking at something or coming up with an idea and building it! I had a hand built sleigh when I was little along with a sand box, a few playhouses, a chicken coop and a bunny hutch for “pepper” the wild baby bunny he rescued at the Atlanta Fulton County Airport when he was working on the new runway project there! When I was older he built a large porch on the back of out house that I enjoyed when I was a teenager and a few Dog houses too along the way! He loved to fish and when I got to go with him to the lake we would pack our Vienna sausages and saltine crackers, moonpies and RC colas and listen to Jerry Clower on the way. He was always able to make me laugh, I could be as mad as all get out with him and he say something that would make me laugh even then……./He was a great dad to us and loved being a Grandpaw and great grandpaw! Love you Dad!

George was a second daddy to me. I met him when I was in junior high with Dena. Him, Yvonne, my parents and another friends parents all met at my house the night (or should I saw the morning after) prom and they all cooked reakfest for us and our dates. He always made me feel like I was a part of his family.
Love you Mr. Daddy! You will be missed!
