I think my first memory of Bobby would be when I was about 11 years old. Mom had married my new Dad. Bobby was so kind as to let us borrow his camper to go to the beach. It was probably the first vacation that we had been on as a family. Going forward from there, I remember going to grandma Dawson‘s for holidays, such as Christmas, Thanksgiving, Easter, etc. It was always enjoyable to go there to be with Dad’s family. As a kid, I always enjoyed the wit of the Dawson siblings. It was funny, listening to them pick at each other. I don’t remember that there ever was any drama or anger or hurt feelings. It was just love and laughter. In looking back, I admire how Dad and Roy deeply loved not only their biological children, but their adopted children as well. Bobby shared his deep love for his children, grandchildren and great grandchildren. Every time that I had the pleasure to listen to him, his conversations were always filled with bragging on them. They all were amazingly talented. And, they were very willing to use their talents to benefit others. They are, and will be missed dearly. ❤️
