I miss our phone conversations. An hour always seemed like a minute because we were both so passionate about education and our students. My thoughts and prayers are with you Ellen.

Rest in peace sweet Reba. I will miss the beautiful e-cards you would send me for the seasons and holidays. I was so glad to hear you and Ellen were together when it was your time - so much love at home. Prayers, love and hugs to Ellen, Willie and all of Reba's friends and family.

Reba and I became friends at Mercer in l948 when we both pledged ADPi sorority. We shared many good times together, and she will always hold a special place in my heart. She was an inspiration to me in many ways.

Miss Reba,
You were an inspiration to be around. You mentored us, loved us and taught us how to be free. You will be missed, but you will live forever in each person that knew you.

You are in our thoughts and prayers. Reba and I worked together at Jackson Elementary and then enjoyed some laughs after both of our retirements.

Miss Reba was my first grade teacher and I thought she was the most beautiful and sweetest lady in the world. I was smaller and shorter than most of my classmates, and she called me"Little Patricia".Those were the first words she said when I walked into her hospital room a few months ago.My daughter was her"student nurse" and she asked her to call me and tell me to come up there.I hadn't seen Miss Reba in over 40 years, but the Lord saw fit for us to be reunited that day, and I will cherish those few hours forever. It was like we had never been apart.Miss Reba was a real lady with a real sense of humor! She will be missed, but I will always know where she is--in my heart! Much love to the family.

"Miss Reba" was my favorite teacher and mother of my friends, Jack, Jim and Ellen. She was my lifelong friend as I grew up. She was a true Southern Lady and beautiful human being. She always gave me good advice and was a joy to be around with her understanding way and good humor. I'm thankful my grandson got to meet her. I know she's with her sons that she loved and missed so much and we'll all be together again one day.

Ms. Reba was one of the most loving and patient teachers I ever had. I can only wish that children today could be blessed with her style and grace. May she find love and comfort with her sons and her loved ones that awaited her.
