I am so sorry for your loss. As much as I am for your loss, I am sorry that our family became so fragmented and out of touch. Yes, I remember as a child we would visit Uncle James and Aunt Elsie and play with Scotty. He was 7 years younger, but was a great source of entertainment. The last time I saw him was in the summer of 1985. We stopped at the barber shop and visited a bit. You will certainly be in our thoughts and prayers. We will be placing 5 Gideon Bibles in his honor. Would you please send me your mailing address via my email address. Until the time we are reunited in Heaven. Floyd Houston Tillery

To the Tillery family: I'm very sorry for your loss. Losing our loved ones is distressing because we naturally want to keep living happily with our family and friends. (Ecclesiastes 3:11) It's comforting to know that God cares about us and knows what it's like to lose a loved one. (1 Peter 5:7) Thankfully, God has promised to change conditions on earth and in humans so that very soon we will be able to enjoy life forever, without ever again having to experience sickness, pain, sadness, or death. (Romans 5:21; Revelation 21:3, 4) He has also provided a sure hope that we'll be able to see our loved ones alive and well again. (John 5:28, 29) May you have comfort and peace during this difficult time.

Dear Darlene and Rose, although we have never been close over the years, I too feel a great loss. Scotty was the last of my Mom's immediate surviving family. I have many fond memories of spending time at the house during summer when school was out. I remember one time when Scotty was chewing tobacco (Bull of the Woods, plug) and gave my brother Mark and myself some. Man did we get green and sick, actually it was quite comical. Back then, Scotty and I would go across the street to the woods and he would let me shoot his Browning Sweet 16 shotgun than he had gotten one Christmas from his Dad. Those were really good times. I left word with my brother Mark so he could let Jeff know of Scotty's passing. Angels - for without beeing seen, they are present with you. - St Francis de Sales
