Mr. Harry James “Scotty” Tillery, age 66, of Jackson, passed away on Saturday, June 15, 2013 at the Medical Center of Central Georgia in Macon. Mr. Tillery was born in Butts County, Georgia on August 14, 1946 to the late James Tillery and the late Elsie Turner Tillery. He was preceded in death by his sister, Jackie Tillery Carpenter. Mr. Tillery was a barber by trade. He owned and operated City Barber Shop in Jackson for over thirty years. He was of the Baptist faith. Mr. Tillery is survived by his wife of 41 years, Rosie Lee Tillery; daughter and son-in-law, Darlene and Travis Faulk of Forsyth; grandson, Tyler Faulk of Forsyth; special nephews, Jeff Carpenter and Chris Carpenter, several other nieces and nephews. Funeral services for Mr. Harry J. “Scotty” Tillery will be conducted on Tuesday, June 18, 2013 at 11:00 a.m. in the Sherrell Memorial Chapel. Reverend Jay Moore will officiate. Interment will follow in Pepperton Cemetery. Friends may visit the family on Monday evening from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. at the funeral home. Following the interment, the family will have a reception in the fellowship hall of the Second Baptist Church.
